| Flower |

I wrote this poem for an english assignment:
Before you became a flower, you were just a small little bud that everyone stepped on because they didn’t know your worth. You were under the shadow of older, beautiful flowers that sang beautiful songs while you just watched because you were too young. You were the warmth of a woman’s smile when she saw you and realized that spring had just arrived. Your petals finally opened, after the long wait, like how a small smile broadens and crinkles into joyous laughter.
And when you were a flower, you sang songs with the other flowers, and listened to the stories that the trees whispered in you ear. You were the breeze that flew into a window. You were the sweet drawing of a young girl with the pink cardigan in the park. You were the umbrella for a family of ants during a thunder storm. An eyelash waiting to be wished on. A candle on a birthday cake. The feeling you have when you realize it’s Friday. The home beneath the clouds. The warmth of love. A present waiting to be unwrapped. An empty Christmas stocking. A cup of warm, nourishing tea. Pink lemonade in a brown and green stemmed glass.
And when you began to get old and dry, you looked up across the cloud speckled sky, and let your petals become absorbed in the wind, and away you flew.
Pretty good, eh? Of course though, my english teacher isn't going to collect it and probably never will. |

Yay the homecoming game was sooo awesome! Me, kelly, ally, and even my sister had a lot of team spirit. We made friends with one of the conductors whose like a senior of something and made cheers for him, and STEGGY! Also ali dropped his mallot through the bleachers and kelly and my sister went to go get it so he wouldnt have to do pushups. Also sadly we thougth NH won but we really didnt because they didnt guard the ball and instead went running down the field in victory while the other team ran to get the ball and ended up winning.
After the game we went to the galleria for a few min and we saw sasha, henry, sami, natalie, and some others until the guards told us to stay on the sidwalk. |

Everyone i got my braces off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES YES YES!
the only bad thing is that i have to wear a retainer for the rest of my life. that's what the orthodontist said.
Also, me, lena, ally, and nassem got to go on a senior field trip which was very very fun. We saw A Midsummer Nights Dream at the Will Geer Theater. We just asked our teacher if we could go, and he said he had some cancellations. That was awesome. |

Me and Allia made Britney Spears and Kevin Federline with a baby girl instead of a boy out of barbies. Also Tara Reid is in one of them.

Me, ally, and sasha are gonna try to set mr. beraru up with ms. larson (current science teacher). They both like david attenborough which is a plus. Hopefully they'll fall in love and get married! haha |

Tonight me, ally, and lena went to the galleria because lena had never heard or been to it before. It was so f-ing fun! We went to the cheesecake factory and before we got our food sacha and kara met us at our table. Then audrey came and the manager told us taht only 4 people were allowed at the booth, so audrey got up but he said taht one more person had to leave, so sacha had to leave because we needed kara to stay because it was her "birthday" (basically just to get a free cheesecake but they charged us anyways). After that we walked around and i saw bess, kenza, rachel karp, rachel keller, aliza, zaria, jared, francis, lily, sydney, diana, lia, and many many more people. Next week i think im gonna go again and see more people! If anyone wants to meet up comment!

In response to everyone else who wrote about this topic, I agree with you. Savor your last moments in middle school because it was some of the best years of my life. Even though i said i hated millikan, and i wanted it to burn, when i look back, i really did have an amazing and fun time there. High school includes, tons of gallons of homework, being on the bottom of the food chain again, and so much more drama. Also to all you 8th graders, make sure you apply to lots of high schools and do really really well in school so you get in to a lot of them. I wish i could go back to 8th grade and change my high school applying process. Don't make the same mistake i did and apply for only one school. |
